Cricbuzz - Site Reliability Engineer - CDN Services (4-5 yrs)

Role : Site Reliability Engineer.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Web Server Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.

As a Web Server Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our web server infrastructure and CDN services.

Experience 4 - 5 years.

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain a highly available and scalable web server infra.

- Monitor and analyze server performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for optimization.

- Implement and maintain proactive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure timely detection and resolution of issues.

- Conduct regular system capacity planning and forecasting to ensure adequate resources for current and future needs.

- Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts for deployment, configuration, and monitoring of web server environments.

- Implement and maintain security best practices, including server hardening, vulnerability scanning, and patch management.

- Must have a clear understanding of network connectivity, load balancing, reverse proxying, and high-traffic use cases.

- Manage DNS, SSL, and Data center operations.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- At least 3 5 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of web server technologies, such as Nginx, haproxy, varnish, etc.

- Solid understanding of networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex server-related issues.

- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, etc is a must

- Understanding of Terraform is preferred.

- Understanding of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience in managing webserver infrastructure in the cloud is a must.

- Knowledge of security best practices and experience in implementing server security measures.
