We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our security systems, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and infrastructure from cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to anticipate and respond to potential security breaches effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect company systems and networks.
Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and gauge the effectiveness of existing security measures.
Monitor systems for unusual activity and respond to security incidents promptly.
Install and configure security software, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into enterprise-wide systems.
Stay updated on emerging threats and industry trends to keep the organizations defenses current.
Conduct security audits and provide recommendations to improve security posture.
Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
Respond to security breaches and provide thorough post-event analyses.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven work experience as a Cyber Security Specialist or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
Experience with security tools and software (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, antivirus programs).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
Experience with cloud security and virtualization technologies.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Experience in conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
