Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Game Tester Developer to join our game development team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our video games are free from bugs, glitches, and performance issues. You will be responsible for testing and debugging game code, identifying errors, and working closely with developers to fix problems and improve the overall gameplay experience. Your skills will also help shape the quality standards for our games.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and automated testing of video games to identify and report bugs or glitches.
- Collaborate with game designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Write and execute test cases, tracking test results, and documenting any issues encountered during testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for recurring tests (e.g., regression testing, performance testing).
- Debug and troubleshoot game code to identify potential problems or code malfunctions.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new game features while ensuring they meet performance and quality expectations.
- Ensure the game s code runs efficiently across multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Report issues in the project management tools and maintain clear communication about the status of testing.
- Assist in writing technical documentation on testing procedures and bug-fixing solutions.
- Provide feedback on gameplay mechanics, design, and overall user experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in game testing, QA, or game development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of gaming platforms, hardware, and software specifications.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and programming languages.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for gaming and understanding of different game genres and trends.
