Job Description

A Junior Android Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications for devices running on the Android platform. The role involves collaboration with senior developers, product managers, and designers to create high-quality, user-friendly applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development:
- Assist in developing and maintaining Android applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using Kotlin.
UI/UX Implementation:
- Collaborate with designers to implement user interfaces that enhance user experience.
- Ensure designs are optimized for various Android devices and screen sizes.
Testing and Debugging:
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure smooth functionality.
- Fix bugs and resolve application issues promptly.
API Integration:
- Work with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.
- Ensure seamless data exchange and functionality across platforms.
Code Review and Documentation:
- Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews.
- Maintain proper documentation of the application s architecture and codebase.
Learning and Adaptation:
- Stay updated on Android development best practices and new technologies.
- Learn and integrate third-party libraries and tools as needed.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to deliver projects.
- Provide regular updates on task progress and challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Kotlin and/or Java.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of design principles and mobile development best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Experience:
- Internship or academic experience in Android development is a plus.
