THE OPPORTUNITY

The DevOps team at ContractPodAi continuously looks for opportunities to optimize processes and eliminate work through automation. A DevOps Engineer automates the build, test and release processes and ensures our Cloud Infrastructure is up and running reliably with high uptime.

On the DevOps team, you will get a chance to experiment with different tools and technologies and choose the ones suitable for our use cases. You will often be developing custom tools to cater to our unique and specific needs. You will be interacting with different teams to identify inefficiencies in tasks and processes and find ways to eliminate those.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be interacting with various teams to understand their requirements and design and implement processes and automation to fulfil those requirements efficiently. You will set up build and release pipelines and also work on building environments on Azure with high availability. Often you will find yourself writing scripts in PowerShell, Bash or Python.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Experience with Azure CI/CD for .Net, NodeJS, Python, Terraform Scripts

Experience managing complex development, test, integration, and production environments with different versions, building new environments, and providing support for existing ones

Experience with tools like Docker and Kubernetes, which package software for easy setup and management.

Addressing technical hiccups between software development and operations, and finding effective solutions to keep projects on track.

Regularly review infrastructures health and security, making recommendations for improvements.

Lead a team of talented platform engineers

Create and Ensure that infrastructure and products that promote and enforce high reliability and security prespective for Azure resources.

Build new/manage extensible and flexible CI/CD frameworks and enhance existing ones to support multiple concurrent development efforts across many projects in a Azure and Hybrid environment.

Identify, evaluate, and implement tools and technologies to drive automation and optimization of version control, configuration management and CI/CD processes.

Define and implement processes to track, update, and modify multiple dev/test environments, including the ability to create new ones quickly or remove unused ones

Drive adoption of standardized SCM and CI/CD processes and identify, implement, and track key metrics for visibility.

Recruit, develop, and retain talent to build the next gen DevOps team and ensure the staff has the skills and capabilities to meet development needs

Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, propose changes, and gain alignment to drive continuous improvement and automation into the SCM and CI/CD processes.

Engage in on-call participation to assist the Azure service deployment pipeline.

Prepare for and carry out extensive zero-downtime migrations.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

10+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer preferably using Azure DevOps.

2+ years of development experience in .NET and SQL Server.

Ability to write scripts in PowerShell or other scripting languages is a must.

Good experience in using IIS, Azure App Services, Function Apps and Docker. Experience in Kubernetes is a plus.

Some experience in setting up monitoring using Azure Monitor or Prometheus.

Should have experience in Infrastructure As Code

Working experience in Terraform.
