Content Writer - Finance

About the Role:

We're seeking a talented Content Writer to join our team and help us expand our reach. You'll be responsible for crafting compelling and informative articles for our blog, on a variety of finance-related topics relevant to international students.

Responsibilities:

• Research and write engaging, informative articles: Break down complex financial concepts into easily understandable content (think "personal finance for the real world").
• Target specific audience: Focus your writing on the needs and challenges faced by international students.
• Content Diversity: Create a variety of content formats to keep readers engaged, including guides, "how-to" articles, explainers, and even creative, finance-themed pieces.
• SEO Optimization: Conduct keyword research and incorporate relevant keywords strategically to improve blog visibility.
• Content Strategy: Collaborate with the team to develop a content strategy that attracts and engages new users. This includes brainstorming new blog sections, article types, and content ideas.
• Content Management: Utilize tools like Google Docs and WordPress to write, edit, and publish content. Familiarity with Google Search Console is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Financial Knowledge: A strong understanding of core financial concepts (banks & NBFCs, loan products, interest rates, budgeting, forex etc.) is essential.
• International Finance Savvy: Experience writing about international student financing is a major plus.
• Writing Prowess: Excellent writing skills with a clear, concise, and engaging style.
• Content Creation Enthusiast: A passion for creating informative and valuable content for a target audience.
• Lifelong Learner: A willingness to learn new things and stay up-to-date on financial trends.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Google Docs and WordPress is a must. Knowledge of Google Search Console is a plus.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with other content management systems (CMS)
• Strong social media skills
• A creative mind with a knack for storytelling
