Line QC Supervisor

Job Summary:

As a Line QC Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes on the production line to ensure the highest standards of product quality are consistently met. You will manage the quality check processes for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. No prior experience is required as we are willing to train the right candidate, though a foundational understanding of quality principles and a keen eye for detail is essential.

Role & responsibilities:

Supervision of QC Activities:

• Supervise daily QC operations on the production line, ensuring products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
• Monitor production processes for quality consistency and identify areas for improvement.

Training and Development:

• Provide training to production and QC team members to ensure they understand quality control procedures and standards.
• Offer continuous support and guidance to staff, encouraging adherence to quality guidelines and promoting best practices.
• Onboard and train new employees in the QC processes, ensuring they are well-equipped to carry out their roles.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality performance data.
• Prepare and present reports on quality control metrics, identifying trends or areas needing attention.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all QC activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety on the production floor by ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Problem Solving and Process Improvement:

• Troubleshoot quality-related issues and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement programs to optimize quality control processes and production efficiency.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, maintenance, and R&D) to support overall production quality.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile:

• An interest in quality control or manufacturing processes.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive attitude toward problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• No prior QC experience required we are willing to train the right candidate.
