The Exhibition Stall Designer will be responsible for designing creative, functional, and aesthetically engaging exhibition stands for various events. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and an understanding of client objectives and event requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong design background, with experience in creating bespoke exhibition booths and displays that align with branding and marketing goals.
Design Conceptualization:
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and the creative team to understand design requirements and goals for exhibition stands.
- Develop creative concepts and design solutions that meet client specifications, event objectives, and branding guidelines.
- Create mood boards, sketches, 3D models, and design layouts for exhibition stands and displays.
Technical Design & Detailing:
- Prepare detailed design plans, including 3D renderings, floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings to ensure clear communication with the construction and installation teams.
- Specify materials, lighting, and other design elements required to execute the project.
- Ensure that designs are structurally sound, comply with event regulations, and align with health and safety standards.
Client Collaboration & Presentations:
- Present design concepts and ideas to clients, explaining the design rationale, materials, and technical considerations.
- Revise and refine designs based on client feedback, working closely with them to achieve the desired look and functionality.
- Ensure designs align with clients branding, marketing, and experiential goals for the exhibition.
Project Management Support:
- Collaborate with the project management and logistics teams to ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for materials, graphics, and finishes needed for the exhibition stalls.
- Provide design support during the installation and setup process to ensure the final execution matches the original design.
Innovation & Trend Research:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovative design techniques, and new materials used in exhibition design.
- Bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to each project to keep designs innovative and engaging.
- Experiment with new technologies (e.g., AR/VR, interactive displays) and sustainable practices to enhance exhibition experiences.
Post-Event Evaluation:
- Participate in post-event debriefs to gather feedback on design effectiveness, functionality, and client satisfaction.
- Make recommendations for future design improvements based on lessons learned.
Education: Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in exhibition design, interior design, or event design; experience specifically in trade shows and corporate exhibitions is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3d Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and 3D rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Cinema 4D).
- Strong understanding of spatial design, material selection, and lighting techniques.
- Excellent sketching and visualization skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Knowledge of exhibition booth construction and event setup processes.
- Familiarity with current design trends, sustainable practices, and digital technology integration in exhibitions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
