General Summary
A Cloud Architect (CA) drives high-priority customer initiatives in collaboration with customers and sales team. The CA is a technical, customer-facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience. CA owns the Azure technical customer engagement, including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or proofs of concepts. This position will have experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture and application design discussions with senior customer executives to drive cloud deployment.
Primary Responsibility:
1.
Cloud Solution Design: Cloud architects design the overall architecture of cloud-based solutions. They assess application and workload requirements, select appropriate cloud services and providers, and determine the integration and migration strategies. They consider aspects such as data storage, networking, security, scalability, and high availability to design a reliable and efficient cloud solution.
2.
Infrastructure and Platform Selection: Cloud architects evaluate different cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and services to determine the most suitable ones for the organization's needs. They assess factors such as performance, security, pricing, and vendor lock-in to make informed decisions about infrastructure and platform selection.
3.
Cloud Security and Compliance: Cloud architects design and implement security measures to protect cloud infrastructure, applications, and data. They establish identity and access management (IAM) policies, encryption mechanisms, network security controls, and logging and monitoring systems. They also ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.
4.
Cloud Governance and Best Practices: Cloud architects define governance frameworks and best practices to ensure the effective and efficient use of cloud resources. They establish guidelines for resource provisioning, monitoring, and cost optimization. They also define policies for managing access controls, data lifecycle, and backup and disaster recovery.

Integration and Migration Planning: Cloud architects develop strategies and plans for integrating existing systems and applications with cloud-based solutions. They define migration approaches, considering factors such as data transfer, application refactoring,
and change management. They collaborate with development and operations teams to
execute smooth migrations to the cloud.
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, specifically with Microsoft Azure.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-300 and AZ-301, or AZ-302)
Language Skills: Good Written and Oral English
Technical Competencies:
o
Solid understanding of modern authentication protocols and a background in cyber security.
o
Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
o
Deep technical experience in enterprise mobile, identity and access control, and security solutions.
o
Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages: PowerShell, Bash, .NET, C+ +, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Responsive Web Design.
Competencies:

Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior executives and growing cloud consumption share in large or highly strategic accounts.
o
Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts & ensuring follow through.
o
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
o
Prior work experience in a consulting/architecture position within a software & services company.
o
Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources.
o
Exceptional verbal and written communication.
