The Job

We are seeking dynamic, self-motivated candidates to join our team and assist in the procurement and supply chain management of various healthcare products for our valued customers and their pets. The products are primarily procured for the UK and Western European markets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operational tasks related to the procurement of products.
  
• Assist in implementing critical aspects of the buying process to ensure timely communication of relevant details to suppliers and internal teams.
  
• Generate and evaluate MIS to optimize procurement processes and inventory planning.
  
• Understand and implement import and export regulations (preferably for Europe and the UK).
  
• Oversee customs clearance of imported goods, coordinate with local authorities, and manage customs processes.
  
• Verify customs regulations for various products in the portfolio, ensuring all required documentation is in place.
  
• Obtain quotes from various forwarders and finalize a freight forwarder through negotiation.
  
• Coordinate deliveries from countries such as China, India, the US, and EU to designated locations in the UK or EU and notify respective warehouse owners.
  
• Review CMR documents and freight invoices for accuracy.
  
• Collaborate with the accounts team to ensure timely payments and assist vendors in reconciling those payments.
  
• Request and organize necessary documents for clearance, delivery, and accounts.
  
• Coordinate payments with all forwarders and proactively manage account settlements, considering no existing credit arrangements.
  
• Send pre-alerts to designated agents for import clearance and stay informed on updates.
  
• Liaise and follow up with suppliers on:
  
• Product availability for reorders and new products.
  
• Required documents and product details.
  
• Product delivery timelines.
  
• Handle any additional project tasks as assigned.
  
• Source quality suppliers and negotiate prices worldwide.
  
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.

About You:

• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a good command of the English language.
  
• Excellent attention to detail.
  
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  
• Capable of following procedures and processes while also looking for opportunities to improve them.
  
• A proactive, can-do attitude.
  
• Well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
• Working knowledge of food supplements or ingredients used in food supplements is a plus, but not required.
