Sr. Engineer - Design ( HVAC )

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Engineer - Design ( HVAC ). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system design. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of various kinds of HVAC systems across the sectors by leading and executing HVAC design efforts.

Role & responsibilities

1. HVAC System Design: Lead the design and development of HVAC systems with all designs are compliant with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

2. Technical Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of HVAC engineering principles and practices to provide innovative and efficient HVAC design solutions.

3. Project Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.

4. Feasibility Studies: Participate in feasibility studies to evaluate HVAC system requirements and provide expert insights to guide project decision-making.

5. Equipment Selection: Select appropriate HVAC equipment, components, and materials based on project requirements, performance criteria, and cost-effectiveness.

6. Simulation and Analysis: Utilize advanced HVAC simulation tools and software to perform system analysis, energy modeling, and thermal load calculations to optimize HVAC system performance.

7. Quality Assurance: Oversee the review and approval of HVAC design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and calculations, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

8. Client Interaction: Act as a technical point of contact for clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback related to HVAC design aspects of power plant projects.

9. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to HVAC design, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure that all design solutions are aligned with safety and environmental standards.

Preferred candidate profile

1. bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

2. 5-10 years of progressive experience in HVAC system design

3. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.

4. Proficiency in HVAC design software and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, TRACE 700, etc.).

5. Thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).

6. Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.

8. Demonstrated track record of successful HVAC system design implementations within power plant projects.

9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

10. Commitment to staying updated with industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology.
