Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Edits new and existing applications. Implements, testing and debugging defined software components. Documents all development activity. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Position: Python Development Engineer 2

Technical Skills Required: Python, Rest API, Django / Flask / AWS

Experience: 2. 5 years to 4 years

Required Experience and Skills

• Strong experience with Python software development

  Experience with software testing and at least one testing methodology

  Experience with scalable web application architecture and engineering concepts such as microservices, REST, and APIs

• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Experience developing and maintaining Data Products
• Experience in source and version control methodologies and technologies, ideally Git .

  Good knowledge of repository management

• Experience with automating tasks with CICD tooling such as Concourse
• Experience with Infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform
• Exposure to front-end development ideally using REACT
• Solid grasp of Agile and DevOps principles
• Familiarity using Atlassian products such as JIRA & Confluence
• Ideally the candidate will have experience of deployment within an AWS enterprise environment
