About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Build, optimize, and manage robust data pipelines to support data-intensive applications.
• Integrate cloud-based tools and frameworks (e.g., Temporal, Airflow, AWS Lambda, etc.) into backend systems to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and integrate Machine Learning models into production environments.
• Implement Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to build modular, reusable, and maintainable codebases.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and microservices for seamless system communication.
• Write efficient, clean, and well-documented Python code that adheres to best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Monitor and maintain backend systems to ensure uptime, scalability, and security.
• Stay updated on new technologies and frameworks to incorporate them into ongoing projects.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer, primarily using Python.
• Solid expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Proven experience in building and optimizing data pipelines for processing large-scale datasets.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and tools like Temporal, Airflow, or similar.
• Proficiency in integrating Machine Learning models into production environments.
• Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and their integration with backend systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with task queues like Celery or similar tools.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Background in deploying models using frameworks like TensorFlow Serving or TorchServe.
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Familiarity with additional tools such as Redis, RabbitMQ, or SQS to enhance system functionality.
