Senior Developer - React.js/Next.js (1-2 yrs)

CodeChavo helps clients outsource digital projects and build quality tech teams to stay ahead in the industry. We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to help us bring UI consistency and existing large scale application.

We aim to unify our UI by fully utilizing our shared design system library. You will be part of a dedicated team (task force) contributing to the migration initiative by delivering a high-quality experience to our customers.

You will :

- Collaborate with engineers from the task force and product teams to bring UI consistency.

- Participate in dedicated training to onboard you to the project of reusable codemods.

- Receive necessary support from other FE engineers.

- Develop codemods and perform manual migration of components.

- Ensure that migrated components meet Quality Assurance criteria (unit/E2E tested, visually consistent).

Skills Required :

- Experience : 4+ years working with React.js, NextJs and TypeScript-based tech stacks.

- CSS Skills : Proficient in CSS (CSS-in-JS Emotion.js) with an eye for UI consistency.

- Pragmatic Approach : Willingness to learn how to write automated scripts for component migration using TypeScript in a Node.js environment and the JSCodeshift library.

- Component Migration : Capable of understanding React.js component migration by reading migration guides, reviewing Storybook, and codebase usages.

- Testing : Experience with E2E testing in Cypress/Playwright or similar; experience with VRT (visual regression tests) is a plus.

- Refactoring Skills : Comfortable with refactoring skills and techniques.

- Large-Scale Applications : Experience with large-scale web applications.

- Communication : Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate with product teams on a daily/weekly basis.

- GitOps : Familiar with git flow and CI/CD processes in the frontend application context.
