Junior PHP Developer - Laravel Frameworks (1-3 yrs)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Laravel Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Laravel, PHP, MySQL, and modern backend development practices. As a Laravel Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing web applications and APIs, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and high-performing.

You will work closely with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to build robust and user-friendly applications. Your expertise in backend development, API integrations, and database management will be critical to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Application Development & Maintenance

- Develop, test, and maintain web applications, RESTful APIs, and backend services using PHP and Laravel.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards.

- Design and implement scalable application architectures.

- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

- Ensure security best practices are followed to prevent vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, CSRF, and XSS.

2. API & Database Management

- Build and integrate RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.

- Develop and maintain complex database structures in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

- Optimize database queries to enhance performance.

- Manage database migrations and seeders using Laravel Eloquent ORM.

3. Code Optimization & Performance Enhancement

- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

- Implement caching strategies using Redis, Memcached, or similar tools.

- Debug and troubleshoot application issues to improve performance and user experience.

4. Third-Party Integrations

- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, etc.), and APIs.

- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, and Laravel Sanctum.

- Work with cloud-based services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

5. Collaboration & Project Management

- Work closely with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration between front-end and backend components.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, providing updates on project progress.

- Collaborate using version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proficiency in PHP (7.x and 8.x) and Laravel (9.x, 10.x, or latest versions).

- Strong experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

- Expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

- Solid understanding of MVC architecture and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js/React.js is a plus).

- Familiarity with server management (Nginx, Apache) and deployment processes.

- Experience with unit testing and debugging using PHPUnit or Pest.

- Understanding of message queues (RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka).

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerized environments.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
