Coddle Technologies - PHP Developer - Laravel/CodeIgniter (1-4 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Web Application Development : Design, develop, and maintain dynamic web applications and websites using PHP, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Frameworks & CMS : Develop with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter. Experience with content management systems like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla is a plus.

Database Design & Management : Create and optimize MySQL or PostgreSQL databases, write SQL queries, and design efficient database schemas.

API Development : Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with other systems and applications.

Code Optimization & Debugging: Write clean, well-documented, and optimized code. Identify and resolve application bottlenecks and issues related to performance and security.

Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver well-rounded solutions. Participate in code reviews and team meetings.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests to ensure the robustness of applications. Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure all features are thoroughly tested.

Version Control: Utilize version control systems such as Git for source code management and collaboration.

Maintenance: Monitor and troubleshoot existing applications, perform software updates, bug fixes, and feature enhancements as required.

Deployment: Manage the deployment process and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery.

Security: Implement security best practices to safeguard data, prevent SQL injections, XSS attacks, and other common web vulnerabilities.

Documentation: Maintain clear, detailed documentation for developed code and API integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in PHP: Solid experience with PHP 7.x and 8.x, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

Experience with frameworks: Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.

Database expertise: Proficiency in relational databases, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a plus.

Web Technologies: Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Version Control: Experience with Git for version control and working in a team environment.

API development: Experience building RESTful APIs or integrating third-party APIs.

Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.

Security practices: Familiarity with common web application security threats and best practices for securing PHP applications.

Testing frameworks: Knowledge of testing frameworks such as PHPUnit or Codeception.

Command line tools: Familiarity with the Linux command line for basic tasks such as file management, server configuration, etc.

Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
