Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) Consultant with expertise in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of data integration solutions using SAP BODS.

You will work closely with business analysts, SAP consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure that data migration, transformation, and integration processes align with business needs, particularly in the context of the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Data Integration & Migration :

- Lead data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SAP BODS from various legacy systems (SAP and non-SAP) to the target environment.

- Develop BODS jobs to ensure seamless data migration for SAP implementations, upgrades, and other integration projects in the Oil & Gas sector.

2. Data Modelling & Design :

- Design and implement data mappings and transformations to align with business rules.

- Collaborate with business analysts to define the data requirements, structures, and reporting needs specific to Oil & Gas workflows.

3. Performance Tuning :

- Optimize BODS ETL jobs for high performance, ensuring efficient handling of large volumes of data typical in the Oil & Gas industry.

4. Collaboration :

- Work closely with SAP functional and technical teams to support end-to-end data integration requirements.

- Engage with business users and stakeholders to ensure alignment between data strategies and business objectives.

5. Quality Assurance :

- Conduct data validation and integrity checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data migrated into the SAP environment.

- Ensure all data migration processes comply with industry standards and Oil & Gas regulations.

6. Documentation & Reporting :

- Prepare technical documentation, including ETL job designs, process flows, and user manuals.

- Provide regular status updates to project leads and participate in project review meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Experience :

- Years of hands-on experience (2 - 6) with SAP BODS in data migration, integration, or ETL processes.

- Experience in data migration for SAP modules such as SAP IS-Oil, SAP SD, MM, PP, or SAP S/4HANA within the Oil & Gas sector.

Technical Expertise :

- Proficient in SAP BODS tools and techniques, including job creation, data flows, workspaces, and transformation rules.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, and ETL concepts.

- Expertise in SQL and database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.

Oil & Gas Domain Knowledge :

- Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry processes, including upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.

- Understanding of Oil & Gas-related data, such as production data, asset management, and supply chain logistics.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP certification in BODS or relevant SAP modules.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects.

- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality management in the Oil & Gas industry.

- Familiarity with other data integration tools (e.g. , SAP Data Hub, Informatica).

Education : UG/PG/Diploma in BE (Mechanical), BE (Electrical or Instrument) or any other related field.
