Video Editor is responsible for taking and assembling the raw footage and turning it into cohesive video by
following the outline and script within the timeline
She/he should translate ideas into complete projects. About The
Role :
Key Result Areas
Takes a brief to understand the requirements and specifications of production team
Reviews raw footage and script and creates shot decision list
Assembles footage and manipulates and edits the content pieces
Trims footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
Ensures logical sequencing and smooth running of video
Inputs music, dialogues, graphics and effects; Create rough and final cuts
Creates mockups that clients, internal team to check and approve the style, effects etc
Comes up with creative ideas for videos from the existing content; Supports audience
developers in building audience over various social media platforms with the new and
creative edits
Creates Motion Graphics (Motion Posters) as and when required
Ensure deliveries are as per the client requirements
Need to be updated with the trends in Editing; Should be able to learn and work on any
related new soft-wares and production techniques
Adhering to timelines in order to meet the delivery times
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Number of Deliveries
Consistency of Quality of Deliverables over time
Lead time per project
Client Satisfaction
Social Media Insights

Functional Skills:.
Strong experience in Editing
Solid experience with editing software packages (Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After
Effects and Final Cut)
Creative mind and storytelling skills
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
People Skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Communication and active listening skills
