Job Title: GCP Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GCP Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, build data warehouses, and develop data-driven solutions that support business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes on the GCP platform.
• Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes on GCP using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Airflow
• Develop and implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of data engineering best practices and standards within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
• Strong experience with GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data quality principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with stream and batch processing.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
• Experience with machine learning and AI/ML platforms.
• GCP certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Data Engineer)
