Job Role Azure Data Engineer Experience - 3+ years

Job description
We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our team for one of UKs most well-known client. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.

To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of learning machine methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern data pipelines and data streams.
• Move / Transform data across layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) using ADF, Python, PySpark
• Analyse current business practices, processes and procedures and identify future.
• Good understanding of Azure Data Platform.”
• opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure data & analytics PaaS services.
• Support the planning and implementation of data platform services including sizing,

configuration, and needs assessment.

• Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.
• Work as a trusted advisor to our clients.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience with ADF, Databricks, PySpark, SQL
• Strong conceptual understanding of data warehouse.
• Understanding of data modelling and SQL.
• Experience with building and deploying ETL/ELT pipelines.
• DevOps integration of data pipelines.
• Hands on experience with modern data storage systems (e.g. ADLS, Synapse)
• Experience with DevOps, Continuous Delivery.
• Good conversion of high-level business & technical requirements into technical specs.
• Feeling comfortable in using Azure cloud technologies.
• Customer centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services.
• Demonstrating true engineering craftsmanship mindset.
• Passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration, and great teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills.
