Automation Manager

Position Summary

Possess a strong foundation in software engineering test methodologies, techniques tools and proven experience in implementing these to deliver successful releases. Own the functional and administrative management responsibility for People and Projects. Lead team of Quality engineers in planning, design and execution of test strategies to deliver products that meet user needs by assessing all risks and mitigation plan. Manage and executes more than one project and / or release to success, at the same time. Possess test automation experience in building automation test framework and guide team on test automation assignments. Experience in working with various platforms (thick client, cloud, hand held device).Help educate a test-driven engineering team on QA best practices and tools.

Skillset Requirements

• 10-15 years of deep experience in product testing\quality management.
• Experience in both Manual and automation testing. Preferrable to have pre-release testing, deployment testing etc.
• Experience in test strategy, planning, test cases, execution and follow the SDLC processes and deliverables.
• Ability manage team and also work with other stakeholders across the organization.
• Experience working with global team with good communication skill.

• Customer-Focused: Passionate about the customer experience and delivering products that delight.
• Technically Agile: Proven ability to drive QA success adopting to changing trends in platforms, technology and techniques .
• Should be able to establish as a leader in a team of highly qualified technical team members.
• Gook knowledge of servers, integration and infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) ; Preferrable to have experience deploying infrastructure and products as per the installation guide.
• Preferrable to have Bicep, Terraform, ADO, Azure Cloud and other test automation skills.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of education and experience. Related graduate degree preferred (Master's).

Technical Requirements

• Minimum 10 15 years of relevant experience.
• B.Tech& MBA from reputed college.
• Hands on experience on Manual Testing & Automation testing.
• Must have lead a team of Quality Analysts for 4+ years.
• Experience of working with major product & solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall Pre-GA product testing of deployment scripts across multiple products as part of the DevSecOps team.
• Design, implement, and manage the overall strategy for Pr-GA Product Release Testing as per the product release plan.
• Prepare test strategy, test plan, test cases, acceptance criteria etc and work with Product Development team and other stakeholders to improve the quality of the release.
• Leverage resources to ensure adequate test coverage and establish best practices.
• Scope and manage the test automation effort with a focus on efficient testing.
• Own the pre-GA release defect processes and documentation and ensure that a standard process is being followed across the SDLC, and that proper tooling and reporting are in place.
• Motivate all team members to deliver high quality projects within committed time and budget.
• Responsible for the career development and mentorship of the QA team and for identifying staffing/hiring needs.
