Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Development team -

Application Interfacing and enhance our product integrations.

An exceptional opportunity for candidates to undertake a key part in our development,

modernising the Integrations across our software portfolio. Using your skills, innovation and

creativity to create great software thats easy and native to use enabling productivity and solving

workflow challenges for medical professionals in their daily role.

You will form part of a greater team that will deliver product enhancements, new products and

support in accordance with the software development lifecycle against the product roadmap and

strategy, whilst working within an agile development environment to ensure product

developments meet all desired timelines.

Role responsibilities

• Work with the design and architecture of new and existing product integrations,

working closely with Product Management, Business Analysts and the Delivery

team.

• Undertake interface development and design requests as required utilising modern

programming techniques and best practise

• Highlighting where a development task requested presents a design compromise or

possible future problem

• Considering the operational, deployment and support impacts of any design

decisions made across a broad spectrum of 3

rd Party Connections

• Taking part in daily scrum meetings to ensure the team leader/scrum master can

manage the development projects, and reporting on the product plan

• Participating in the monthly meetings (part of the company communications policy)

to ensure end-to-end communication is maintained throughout the company

• Assisting the testing team in their endeavours when questions arise, undertaking

rework activities when directed to do so by the development team leader

Experience required

• Strong expertise with the following languages and frameworks
• Java (servlets / JSP)
• SQL (Oracle)
• HTML, CSS
• JavaScript
• Angular
• REST
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming
• Background in delivering solutions / product from concept to release
• Strong understanding of agile development practices and scrums
• Experience of working within a test-driven development (TDD) environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make and stand by decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to recognise your audiences technical understanding and level, and adapt accordingly
• In-depth background in HL7 and the integration of disparate healthcare solutionsPreffered
