Accountant - Nariman Point

We are hiring for Accountant for our Certified Public Accountant firm based in Churchgate.

We are looking for Immediate joiner only.

Key Responsibilities:

Record Keeping:

• Bank Entry and bank reconciliation statements, Accounts receivable such as Customer Invoicing, receipts, Customer accounts & Accounts Payable such as booking of vendor invoices, Payments, vendor accounts etc.
• Preparing and accounting of Credit Notes & Debit Notes
• Verification and accounting of Petty cash & Indirect Cost expenses
• Supporting month end activities - Provisions, Vouchers/ Invoice Submissions, booking etc
• GST and TDS booked properly to discharge tax liability on monthly basis

MIS

• Supporting Monthly financial statements & closing.
• Daily customer & vendor outstanding report in excel & tally
• Reconciliation of GSTR 2a & 2b with books of accounts on monthly basis
• Supporting internal and external audits.

Compliance

• Supporting compliance to all statutory regulations under various Accounts and finance audits.
• Monthly /Quarterly/ Yearly Statutory Returns & Payment workings and shall good knowledge about TDS, GST, PT, PF, ESIC etc.
• Supporting tax audits /assessments

JD

• Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheets
• Calculate bonuses and allowances
• Prepare employees compensation by the end of each month using excel.
• Schedule bank payments or hand out pay checks directly to employees
• Distribute payment statements and gather signed receipts (digital or paper)
• Report on payroll expenses
• Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations
• Enter new employees data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases
• Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions
• Quarterly e-TDS Returns
• Maintain Leave register / Attendance
• Issue Form 16
• Statutory payments/ working / return filing (PT / TDS/PF / MLWF / ESIC etc)
• Compliance returns (Maternity / Gratuity / statutory Bonus etc)
• Prepare MIS & Reports as and when required.
