Erp Software Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• ERP System Development: Design, develop, and maintain customizations, enhancements, and modules within the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics) to meet the specific needs of the institution.
• System Integration: Work on integrating various institutional systems (e.g., student management, financial, HR, inventory) with the ERP system, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
• Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for ERP users. Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to ERP functionality and performance.
• Database Management: Develop and maintain database queries, procedures, and scripts to manage ERP data. Ensure data integrity, security, and optimization.
• Customization and Reporting: Create custom reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to help end-users make informed decisions. Customize forms, fields, and workflows to meet specific business requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, functional users, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure the ERP system meets institutional goals.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure ERP applications are functioning as expected. Ensure proper documentation of all tests and results.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of ERP system configurations, customizations, workflows, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and audits.
• System Upgrades and Patches: Plan, test, and deploy ERP system upgrades and patches to ensure the system remains up-to-date, secure, and efficient.
• Training and Support: Assist in training end-users and providing ongoing support to ensure effective use of the ERP system. Create user manuals, guides, and instructional materials as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
• 3-5 years of experience as an ERP developer or in a similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Experience with ERP development frameworks, programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, ABAP, PL/SQL), and reporting tools.
• Skills:
  
• Strong programming skills and experience with ERP-specific technologies.
• Proficient in database management and SQL.
• Familiarity with ERP configuration, customization, and integration tools.
• Experience with API integrations and web services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with non-technical users.
• Certifications:
  
• ERP-related certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate, Oracle ERP Developer, or similar) are a plus.
• Knowledge:
  
• Understanding of institutional processes (finance, HR, academic, etc.) and how they integrate with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
