Senior QA-UI Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled UI QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI testing, with expertise in Playwright and JavaScript. This role involves creating and executing test cases, managing test plans, and ensuring the quality of our user interfaces across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Case Development: Create detailed, efficient test cases using Playwright and JavaScript to cover various UI scenarios and edge cases.
2. Test Plan Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans for new features and updates, ensuring all aspects of the UI are thoroughly tested.
3. Regression Testing: Manage and execute regression tests to ensure new changes dont negatively impact existing functionality.
4. Bug Tracking and Reporting: Accurately document and report bugs, providing clear steps to reproduce and relevant information to developers.
5. Automation Framework Maintenance: Continuously improve and maintain the UI test automation framework, ensuring it remains efficient and up-to-date.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure quality is maintained throughout the development process.
7. Performance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and reporting on UI performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
8. Documentation: Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing procedures.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
2. 3+ years of experience in UI testing and quality assurance
3. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with Playwright for UI testing
4. Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM)
5. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
6. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
9. Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with other testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
2. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
3. Familiarity with performance testing and accessibility testing
4. Experience with mobile application testing
