Experience - 3 - 5 years
Location - Hyderabad (Work from Office)
Shift Timings: 11am - 8pm Or 2pm -11pm

Primary skills:

Expertise in Data Protection Recovery Processes on Google Cloud Platform (GCPBDR)

Experience with Veeam Availability Suite 12.1 or newer.

Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP)

Good to have skills

Experience with Cloud Backup Solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Certification in Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS/Google)

System Administration Knowledge of AIX and Windows Operating Systems

Data Protection Services Engineer with Google Backup and Disaster Recovery (GCPBDR)
Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and monitor GCP BDR in various environments.
Monitor Data protection Environment (through Veeam and TSM) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for backup operations.
Troubleshoot backup failures on-premises and in cloud technologies.
Participate in DR recovery and BCP activities periodically.
Report and track backup failures and handle restore requests.
Supervise incidents and coordinate with change management.
Collaborate with internal and external teams for upgrades, restores, and documentation.
Follow Scrum methodology and be flexible to work in shifts.

Technical Skills Required

Expertise in Data Protection Recovery processes on Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with deploying SAP HANA DBs using GCPBDR for backup and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of appliance upgrade processes and implementation.
Skills in alert configuration, reporting, and monitoring on GCP.
Proficiency with Veeam Availability Suite 12.1 or newer.
Experience with cloud backup solutions.
System administration knowledge of AIX and Windows operating systems.
Understanding of ransomware protection standards.
Experience with Microsoft Windows 2019, 2021 and newer operating systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common backup failures.
Experience in disaster recovery exercises on-premises and in the cloud.
Capability to configure and maintain backup schedules on Veeam and cloud areas.
Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with internal customers.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements

Certification in Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS/Google).

Education

Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) or equivalent.

Experience

Bachelors degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or relevant experience.
2-4 years of experience in the IT field.
2-3 years of experience in Google Cloud and GCPBDR.
3+ years of experience in engineering, design, implementation, maintenance, application and system upgrades, performance monitoring, backups and restores, support in GCPBDR, GCP, Veeam, IBM AIX, Linux, and MS Windows servers.
2+ years in Veeam Backup Replication administration.
Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
