Senior Medical Writer -Creative Medical Communications

Location : Any Where in India ( 100% work from home)

Salary : 12 lac to 16 lac

Role summary
The Senior Medical Writer will be responsible for developing high-quality, engaging, and scientifically accurate promotional and creative content for pharmaceutical clients. This role requires a unique blend of medical expertise, marketing-driven storytelling, and creative ideation to craft compelling scientific narratives that resonate with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients. The candidate will work on a variety of content formats, from traditional promotional materials to creative gimmicks, digital campaigns, and scientific manuscripts.

Key responsibilities

1. Promotional & Scientific Content Development:

• Develop a wide range of promotional and scientific content, including:
• HCP-focused materials Visual aids, leave-behinds, e-detailers, product brochures, training decks, certification modules, product monographs etc.
• Creative & digital content Video scripts, social media campaigns, interactive PDFs, animated explainers, emailers, infographics, and web content.
• Event & conference materials Symposia presentations, posters, scientific abstracts, newsletters, MOMs etc.
• Manuscripts & publications Review articles, case studies, opinion pieces, white papers, and newsletters.

2. Creative Storytelling & Conceptualization:

• Translate complex scientific data into compelling, creative narratives that enhance brand recall and engagement.
• Develop innovative gimmicks, thematic storytelling approaches, and analogies to simplify medical concepts for different audiences.
• Brainstorm creative marketing ideas in collaboration with brand and creative teams.

3. Research & Scientific Rationale Development:

• Conduct literature reviews and analyze clinical data to support messaging strategies.
• Synthesize research insights into clear, evidence-based, and brand-aligned communication.
• Ensure promotional claims are scientifically sound and backed by credible sources.

4. Compliance & Medical Accuracy:

• Ensure all materials adhere to industry guidelines (OPPI, ICMR, FDA, MCI, ICH, AMA/Vancouver referencing).
• Maintain high-quality standards in content accuracy, consistency, and scientific integrity.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with brand goals.
• Adapt content for different formats, regions, and target audience preferences.

Qualifications

• Education: MPharm/MSc(life sciences).
• Experience: 8+ years in medical writing, with a focus on promotional, creative, and scientific communications for pharma.
• Skills:
• Strong scientific storytelling and creative writing skills.
• Ability to develop engaging content that blends science with marketing strategy.
• Experience with video scriptwriting, digital campaigns, and omnichannel content development.
• Proficiency in referencing tools.
