Head Design And Engineering (Boat/Ship Building)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers and engineers in the creation and development of boat designs from concept to production. • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the design team, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and technologies. • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging design concepts to drive continuous improvement. • Collaborate closely with other departments, such as manufacturing, engineering, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of design concepts into the production process. • Manage design projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery. • Conduct regular project reviews and provide status updates to senior management. • Work closely with external vendors and suppliers to source materials and components, ensuring they align with design specifications and quality standards. • Ensure all boat designs comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards. • Dealing with marine classification Such as LR/IR/DINA/DNV etc. • Having knowledge of reverse engineering • Should have experience in new product design, stability calculations. • Should have experience in FRP moulding proses & assembly process of boat building/Ship building • Conceptual Design - Preparation of technical specification along with GA • BOM, Design standardization/Estimation & coasting

Preferred candidate profile

BE/B.Tech, Naval Architecture

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field

Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar tools

In-depth knowledge of boat/Ship Building processes, materials, and construction techniques
