Job Description


Job Title: Program Manager

Department: Centre for Distance and Online Education.

Reports to: Director Strategic Initiatives

Summary:

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall success of Chitkara University's online MBA program. This includes managing student experience, program delivery, vendor relationships, and program performance. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Program Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the online MBA program.
    • Analyze program performance metrics (engagement rates, completion rates, student satisfaction) and identify areas for improvement.
    • Track individual student performance, identify at-risk students, and implement support strategies.
    • Develop and implement program marketing materials in collaboration with the Brand team.
    • Manage the program budget and ensure financial sustainability.
    • Review and update program curriculum to ensure relevance and quality.
    • Develop and maintain the program website.
  • Partner/Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors (e.g., technology providers, loan partners).
    • Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and resolve vendor issues.
    • Develop and implement vendor onboarding processes.
  • Student Support:
    • Respond to student inquiries via email and provide individual student support.
    • Coordinate with career services to connect students with job opportunities.
    • Develop and deliver student workshops or masterclasses.
    • Organize student events to facilitate networking.
    • Conduct student satisfaction surveys and implement feedback.
  • Admissions and Enrollment:
    • Coordinate and manage the admissions team.
    • Oversee the enrollment process for new students.
  • MIS and Billing:
    • Generate program reports and analyze student data.
    • Coordinate with the finance department on billing and payments.
    • Process student refunds.
  • Other:
    • Attend program meetings.
    • Stay informed of industry trends in online education.
    • Develop and maintain professional relationships.
    • Conduct research on best practices in online program management.
    • Develop and implement a crisis communication plan.
    • Manage facility arrangements for guests visiting the campus.
    • Support weekend classes with troubleshooting and technical assistance.
    • Coordinate with Technology and Learning Management System teams for course backup and content management.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in program management, preferably in an online education setting.
  • Strong understanding of online learning platforms and technologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with learning management systems
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
