Qualification: M Sc./B.Sc. Chemistry

Job Status: Temporary
Objective: Chemist role temp position specializing in Product Development, test method development, analysis of samples, Technical Services & Operation support activities.

Job profile:
Conduct new product development, test method development
Provide technical support to Sales and Operations.
Prepare small quantities of intermediates, finished products & lab samples.
Perform chemical and/or physical testing on routine and non-routine samples.
Assisting manufacturing and supply chain operations in the development and implementation of new/modified production methods to improve quality and productivity.
Accurately record all observations & experimental data.
Conduct analytical tests such as FTIR, GC, Viscometery, etc.
May have to travel to customer for Sales support less than 10%.

Skills & personal attributes:
Self-Motivated.
Good interpersonal skills.
Adequate fluency in written and oral communication in English.

Essential:

• Should have zero to 3 years of work experience in a research or quality control lab of chemical industries.
• Should have hands on experience in lab activities; should be willing to work without assistance as and when required.
• Capable of conducting development and formulation of specialty chemicals with minimal guidance.
• Must possess the written & oral skills necessary to effectively communicate complex technical information to colleagues with varied educational backgrounds.
• Good in documentation. Should be able to prepare technical reports and provide regular updates.
• Good computer and MS office skills are required.
• Should be a team player.

Desired:

• Working knowledge of emulsions, wax and silicone chemistry.
• Background on release agent and surface chemistry is highly desired.
