Admission Counsellor

As an Admission Counsellor, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting potential students throughout the admission process. Your primary task will be to interact with prospective students, provide them with accurate information about academic programs, guide them through the application process, and help them make informed decisions about their education.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage with prospective students: Act as a primary point of contact for potential students and their parents or guardians. Proactively reach out to them through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person meetings.
2. Provide accurate information: Respond to inquiries regarding admission procedures, academic programs, eligibility criteria, scholarships, and any other relevant information in a prompt and professional manner.
3. Conduct counseling sessions: Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to guide prospective students in exploring the available programs, career prospects, and aligning their aspirations with Chandigarh Universitys offerings.
4. Application management: Assist students in completing application forms, verifying required documents, and ensuring a smooth and error-free application process.
5. Coordinate events: Organize and participate in university events, such as career fairs, information sessions, and education expos, to promote the institution and attract potential students.
6. Maintain records: Ensure accurate documentation of all interactions with students, including inquiries, feedback, and follow-up communications.
7. Collaborate with internal teams: Coordinate with various departments, including academics, student services, and admissions, to ensure a seamless process for student enrollment.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Required qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM systems.

2. Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in counseling, sales, or customer service, preferably in an educational institution.
- Familiarity with the higher education system and knowledge of admission processes.
- Ability to understand and address student goals and challenges effectively.
