Job Description
- Provide support and guidance to hostel residents, addressing their concerns and needs.
- Ensure the safety and security of all residents by implementing and monitoring safety protocols.
- Respond to emergencies or issues within the hostel promptly.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hostel, including maintenance, cleanliness, and room assignments.
- Manage the budget for the hostel and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop and enforce hostel rules and regulations that promote a respectful and inclusive living environment.
- Address any violations of these rules in a fair and consistent manner.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts among residents, encouraging open communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Maintain open and effective communication with residents, staff, and administration.
- Provide regular updates to the appropriate authority regarding the state of the hostel.
- Supervise and manage hostel staff, including resident advisors or assistants, as applicable.
- Maintain accurate records related to resident issues, incidents, and other relevant data.
- Minimum 15yrs of experience.
- A Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Previous experience in student affairs, housing, or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Crisis management and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students and staff.
