Mainframe - Developer / Application Support

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe-based applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
Support and resolve Production issues
Create and optimize batch and online systems to support insurance applications, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
Develop and implement complex SQL queries and stored procedures within DB2
Work with FileAid, SPUFI, and other debugging tools for troubleshooting, testing, and optimizing code.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Ensure rigorous testing of all developed solutions, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
Work closely with QA teams to ensure the quality and reliability of the code delivered to production.
Address and resolve any production issues related to the mainframe applications in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This RoleExperience :

5+ years of experience in mainframe application development, with a strong focus on COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
Proven experience in developing and supporting insurance industry solutions, with a deep understanding of domain-specific needs and processes
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, FileAid, SPUFI, and other mainframe development and debugging tools.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in developing and maintaining COBOL programs and handling complex batch and online systems.
Proficient in DB2 database management, including database design, SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
