Postgresql Database Administrator

- 8-10 years of PostgreSQL development experience

- Minimum 8-10 years of Oracle development experience

- BA/BS degree in information systems, computer science, or engineering required

Job Responsibilities

- Develop, design, test, and implement complex database programs using PostgreSQL and third-party tools.

- Develop, design, test, and implement complex database programs using Oracle and third-party tools.

- Ensure that database programs are compliant with Vitech standards.

- Performance tune SQLs, application programs, and instances.

- Evaluate new and upcoming technologies.

- Provide technical assistance, problem resolution and troubleshooting support.

- Providing guidance, mentoring junior members in the team.

Skills/Qualifications

- Strong development, design, test, and implement skills in connection with complex database programs using PostgreSQL.

- Strong experience with PostgreSQL functions, triggers, and views.

- Strong development, design, test, and implement skills in connection with complex database programs using Oracle.

- Strong experience with Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages & Views.

- Should have good knowledge on Collections Objects and Advance PL/SQL Concepts.

- Primarily hands-on coding experience.

- Very strong experience in writing complex stored procedures and calculations.

- Knowledge in performance tuning SQLs and application programs.

- Very strong experience in writing and understanding complex SQL statements.

- Strong debugging / problem analyzing skills.

- Java knowledge is a plus.

- Experience with AWS

- Scrum/Agile experience in an Agile Team environment.

- Good understanding of how to operate in an Agile Team setting.

- Strong collaboration skills

- Some experience in Agile Poker, WSJF and similar Agile estimating tools.

- Some experience with backlog refinement.

- Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

- Understanding of product-first implementation approach.

- Understanding of 'shift-left' testing approaches.
