Senior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure the timely reconciliation of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist in financial reporting and budgeting processes.
• Work with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaborate with teams across Ceres NZ to ensure smooth workflow between both entities.
• Respond to queries related to accounting and financial processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field.
• Experience: 4-7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an overseas company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.
• A good academic background with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
