Production Supervisor

Role & responsibilities

Plant Extraction and Purification Supervisory Roles, from Plant Incharge to Plant Operations. Chemical Process and set protocols using solvents to be operated with multiple machinery.

General Responsibilities:

1. Operating Machinery: Operate extraction machines and other necessary equipment, adjusting settings and controls to ensure optimal performance.
2. Monitoring Processes: Continuously monitor all operations and processes within the plant to ensure they are operating correctly, safely, and efficiently.
3. Quality Control: Perform routine checks to ensure that the products meet quality standards and specifications.
4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
5. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance checks on all equipment and quickly diagnose and troubleshoot any operational issues.
6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of operations, including data on production volumes, process conditions, and quality control measures.
7. Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels of raw materials, chemicals, and other supplies, ensuring adequate stocks are maintained for uninterrupted production.

Specific Duties:

1. Preparation of Materials: Prepare raw materials for extraction, including sorting, cleaning, and possibly pre-processing (such as grinding or chopping).
2. Extraction Process Management: Manage the specific extraction process, which may involve handling solvents, managing pressures and temperatures, and ensuring the extraction is performed efficiently.
3. Post-Extraction Processing: Handle post-extraction processes, which may include evaporation, filtration, or distillation, depending on the nature of the product being manufactured.
4. Equipment Calibration: Calibrate machinery and equipment before processes begin to ensure they operate at peak efficiency.
5. Waste Management: Properly handle and dispose of waste products and byproducts according to environmental regulations and company policies.
6. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or improve product quality.
7. Training and Supervision: Assist in training new employees on operating procedures and equipment. Supervise junior operators or other plant staff as required.

Preferred candidate profile

Chemical Engineers, BE/ Biotechnology, ITI Chemistry, Mechanical, With knowledge of Process technology.
