Job Description

The candidate must be well versed in the technical and policy aspects of the power sector and have a strong functional knowledge of GIS techniques and applications. She/he should meet the requirements related to project proposals, deliverables, and schedules. The candidate should also be able to coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external teams to meet the project objectives.

Responsibilities

Investigate the current developments and technologies regarding renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) across states, and national and international stages.
Work at the nexus of RE/EE and GIS. Ideate how GIS can be used to improve decision- and policy-making in this sector.
Conduct studies relevant to RE policies/regulations and develop a clear understanding to generate valuable inputs.
Develop concept notes, project ideas, and proposals around relevant subjects considering their high relevance and social impacts.
Perform research activities and modelling tasks and develop a strong knowledge base of the existing technologies, transformations, business models, and RE sector s behaviour and performance.
Coordinate with various stakeholders in the sector, including utility companies, regulators, funding agencies, government bodies, and other research institutions.
Document and publish the research findings in detailed reports, journals, conference papers, op-eds, and news
