Accounts Executive

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts and Finance Professional with 5-7 years of experience to oversee and manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in financial planning, analysis, accounting processes, compliance, and reporting. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health of the organization and supporting strategic decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgets/forecasts and provide actionable insights.
• Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance, highlighting areas for cost optimization.

3. Accounting Operations

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers.

4. Compliance and Audit

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Manage tax compliance, including GST, VAT, TDS, and income tax filings.

5. Cash Flow and Treasury Management

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimal working capital management.
• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for fund management and banking operations.

6. Financial Controls

• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen operational efficiency.

7. Collaboration and Support

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
• Assist in developing financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 5-7 years in a similar role, with demonstrated experience in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle ERP).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local tax regulations.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
