Job Description
- Demonstrates and practices proper radiation protection measures
- Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and follows proper procedure protocols
- Performs duties in compliance with universal precaution and infection control
- Adheres to department standards for on call coverage
- Obtains required patient history and/or consents, reviews for accuracy, completeness and verifies patient identification and information prior to procedure
- Verifies lab results prior to procedure to determine that the results are within the normal ranges for procedure and that the patient is a candidate for administration of contrast material according to protocol
- Responsible for cleaning equipment, exam rooms and keeps an orderly work area for improved efficiency
- Utilizes computer system within the hospital guidelines
- Cardiac or special procedure experience Preferred
- ECG interpretation experience - Preferred
- Knowledge of Cath Lab imaging and monitoring equipment
- Knowledge of EP equipment and procedures
- Performs inventory management for the Cath Lab
- Monitoring Post Procedure Hematomas
- Performing Sheath Removal
- Knowledge on operating IABP, Pressure Injector ,TPI
- Should be proficient in sterlization,maintenance,packing and resupplying of the most complex Cath supplies and equipment in the Cathlab
- Observes all fluid infusion and patency of catheters
- Assists supervisor in accurately recording charges for procedures
- Restocks and prepares lab for next days procedures in conjunction with other team members
