Lead AI Engineer (4-5 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Lead AI Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of AI/ML solutions, from concept to deployment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, design innovative AI models, and drive the adoption of AI technologies.

This position requires a strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and software development, along with the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities :

AI/ML Model Development and Deployment :

- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models to solve complex business problems.

- Implement end-to-end AI/ML pipelines, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.

- Optimize model performance and ensure scalability for production environments.

- Deploy and maintain AI models on cloud platforms or on-premise infrastructure.

Research and Innovation :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML research and technologies.

- Conduct research and experimentation to explore new AI techniques and algorithms.

- Identify opportunities to apply AI to solve emerging business challenges.

Team Leadership and Mentorship :

- Lead and mentor junior AI engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and product managers.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Help define project scope and timelines.

Data Management :

- Work with large datasets, ensuring data quality and consistency.

- Develop and implement data preprocessing and feature engineering pipelines.

- Collaborate with data engineers to build and maintain data infrastructure.

Required Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Python.

- Experience with Java or C++ is a plus.

- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).

- Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).

- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision is highly desirable.

- Experience with time series analysis.

- Proficiency in libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Matplotlib.

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI/ML services.

- Experience with deploying models with cloud tools.

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Familiarity with data processing tools (e.g., Apache Spark).

- Understanding of software development principles and best practices.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
