1. H&S Management System (Compliance to H&S Standards)
a. Drive implementation of the H&S Policy
b. Ensure documentation of the Local H&S Procedures in compliance with the Carlsberg India H&S Standards and Business / Regulatory Requirements and taking into consideration the risks presented by Site operations.
c. Draw up and implement an H&S Training Program to support the implementation of H&S Standards & Procedures
d. Facilitate the use of the H&S procedure in the routine business of the Site.
e. Draw up and implement a verification program for the implemented standards
f. Establish and achieve meaningful objectives and targets
g. Identify and implement control systems to minimize H&S risks
h. Review and report on H&S performance and issues routine.
i. Implement behavior-based safety to mitigate human behavior-related risks.
j. Risk Assessment / Job Safety Analysis - Ensure compliance to the Carlsberg Protocol, Quality of inspection, and adequacy of closure
2. H&S Management Verification
a. Work Place Inspection (Using Safety Tool-kit) - Ensure compliance to the Carlsberg Protocol, Quality of inspection and adequacy of closure.
b. H&S Audits Permit to Work, PPE Compliance, Machinery Guarding, Electrical Isolation, LOTO, Emergency Equipment (First Aid, Eye wash station, Fire equipment access), Ladder safety, Visitor safety Audit, Tanker / Truck Offloading.
c. Accident Investigation, Closure Ensure compliance to the Carlsberg Protocol, Quality of investigation and adequacy of closure
d. H&S Concern Sheets Audit, Review Quality of inspection and adequacy of closure.
3. H&S Training – Drive the H&S training of permanent employee & contractor workmen as per the KPI target taken for the year.
4. H&S Committee
a. Be an Active participant in the functioning of the Site H&S Committee
b. Drive employee engagement on H&S aspects through the H&S Committee.
c. Develop and implement the Site H&S Improvement plan.
5. Implementation of Safe Working Methodology
a. Draw up an implementation road map of Safe Workplace
b. Facilitate implementation of the Safe Workplace concept in Shift Based Teams on the shop floor
6. Implement Contractors Safety Management program as per Carlsberg Global Procedure
7. Implement LSR (Life Savings Rules) as per Carlsberg global procedure.
8. H&S Statutory Compliance
a. Arrange to keep up-to-date all consents and Permits related to relevant statutes for safety .
b. Support compliance to requirements of other functions.
c. Be aware of current National Legislation and maintain standards. Oversee the regulatory compliance register for the CIPL Site.
9. Fire System Management
a. Fire Risk assessment is carried out of the fire hazards associated with operations, processes, materials and ignition sources at the Site.
b. Fire Emergency Response Plans are put in place and routinely exercises.
c. All fire incidents are recorded and investigated. Actions taken to prevent recurrence and learning arising from such incidents are incorporated in the Fire Risk Assessment.
d. Physical fire safety systems (both fixed and portable) are routinely inspected, tested and maintained to minimum performance standards.
10. Prepare & Maintain site emergency preparedness plan, Disaster management plan and conduct mock drills as per procedure.
11. Identification and execution of H&S CAPEX projects.Role & responsibilities
