GM/AVP - Corporate Affairs - Manufacturing/Mining Industry (15-20 yrs)

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented GM/AVP - Corporate Affairs to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and successful operation of our business by effectively managing all aspects of corporate affairs, with a strong focus on land acquisition, government relations, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Land Acquisition:

- Lead all aspects of land acquisition processes, including identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land for company projects.

- Conduct thorough due diligence on land parcels, including legal, environmental, and social impact assessments.

- Manage all legal and regulatory requirements related to land acquisition, including obtaining necessary approvals and licenses.

- Develop and implement effective strategies for stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution during the land acquisition process.

Government Relations:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials at all levels, including state and local authorities.

- Represent the company's interests effectively in government interactions and regulatory proceedings.

- Monitor and analyze government policies and regulations that impact the company's operations.

- Proactively identify and address potential regulatory challenges and risks.

Public Hearings:

- Plan and execute successful public hearings related to company projects, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.

- Address public concerns and objections effectively, mitigating potential risks and maintaining positive community relations.

Community Engagement:

- Develop and implement community engagement programs to build and maintain strong relationships with local communities.

- Address community concerns and grievances proactively and effectively.

- Promote the company's positive image and social responsibility initiatives within the community.

Corporate Affairs:

- Manage all aspects of corporate affairs, including media relations, public relations, and corporate social responsibility.

- Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively convey the company's message to internal and external stakeholders.

- Monitor and analyze media coverage and public sentiment related to the company.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

- Provide legal and regulatory advice to internal stakeholders on various matters.

- Manage legal and regulatory risks effectively.

Qualifications & Experience - Education: relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

Experience:

- Minimum 15+ years of experience in corporate affairs, government relations, or a related field within the manufacturing or mining industry.

- Proven track record of success in land acquisition, including experience in conducting public hearings and managing stakeholder engagement.

- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and government processes in India, with a particular focus on Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

- Experience in working with mid-sized organizations is a plus.
