Junior Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring.
• Inspect electrical systems and components , such as circuits, breakers, and outlets, to identify issues or faults.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical systems and machinery to ensure proper functioning.
• Follow blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure that electrical installations are completed according to specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems under the supervision of a senior electrician, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Install electrical wiring and fixtures in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Test electrical systems for functionality and safety after installation or repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment , ensuring they are in good working order.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards , including local electrical codes, while performing all tasks.
• Document work performed in maintenance logs, including time, materials used, and tasks completed.
• Assist in emergency repairs and respond to electrical breakdowns as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment , following company and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in electrical work or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and tools.
• Familiarity with electrical safety codes and practices.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills under the guidance of senior electricians.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces or at heights.
• Good communication skills to work with other team members and follow instructions.
• Driver’s license (if the job requires travel to different job sites).

Skills:

• Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully.
