Job Description

Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and non surgical treatment to children (0-18 years) with acute and chronic mild to serious illnesses (low to moderate risk and high risk diseases, respectively) and Infectious diseases
Management of infective disorders, sepsis, shock
Treat acute abdomen
Manage Diabetic ketoacidosis, dehydration, hyperbilirubinemia, anemia, meningitis, recurrent seizure disorders of children
Perform Arthrocentesis and joint injection, Muscle biopsy, Paracentesis, Lumbar Puncture,
Suprapubic bladder aspiration, bladder catheterisation
Manage burns
Perform life threatening / emergency procedures like Arterial line placement, Cardio version, Defibrillation, Central Line Placement, Intra-osseous needle placement, Intubation (oro-tracheal and naso tracheal), Pericardiocentesis, Placement of chest tube, Thoracentesis etc
Perform Percutaneous tracheostomy/cricothyrotomy tube placement (Seldinger technique), Percutaneous peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion, Flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy with bronchial alveolar lavage, Flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy with bronchial alveolar lavage, Hemofiltration
Attend all deliveries and Newborn resuscitation
Perform regular checkups of children to examine their development and health issues.
Recommend and manage medication, treatment, vaccinations, and additional specialized medical care to prevent or treat diseases, injuries, and illnesses.
Suggest and educate patients and their parents in regards to activity, diet, hygiene and other disease prevention methods.
