Sr MDG Technical Consultant

The Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic and adaptive Senior Consultant having 7 to 10 years experience in SAP MDG.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP MDG Configuration and Customization: Configure and customize SAP MDG for master data domains (like Material, Customer) based on project-specific needs, while adhering to best practices and reusable templates
• Data Modeling and Workflow Design: Develop efficient data models, workflows, and validation rules to ensure data accuracy and seamless governance processes, working closely with teams and clients to align with business requirements.
• System Integration and Data Quality: Ensure smooth integration of SAP MDG with other systems (like S/4HANA or ECC), while implementing robust data quality frameworks and automated checks to maintain high data standards across systems.
• Testing and Validation: Support the testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring that all technical solutions work as expected and meet project and client standards.
• Post-Implementation Support and Client Training: Provide post-implementation support to ensure the client can effectively manage the SAP MDG system, offering training and enabling long-term sustainability of the governance processes.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve technical issues, collaborating with both the client and project teams, ensuring minimal disruption to the project and efficient problem-solving.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed technical documentation, including configurations and customizations, and provide regular project progress reports to both the internal team and the client to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Client Collaboration and Consulting: Engage with clients to understand their master data governance needs, provide technical consulting, and offer support during implementation, ensuring the project meets their expectations and resolves their issues promptly.
• Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with the project team to share technical expertise, mentor junior team members, and ensure smooth coordination across global teams, contributing to the team’s overall success.
• Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive process improvements and innovation within the project by identifying areas for automation, researching emerging technologies, and incorporating new tools that enhance the system’s performance and scalability.

Profile Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of implementation, customization, and support experience in SAP MDG
• Should have worked on Implementation projects involving SAP MDG Solution for either of the following: Customer, Vendor, Material, Financial masters etc.
• Hands-on experience with at least one full life-cycle implementation of SAP MDG, from design to deployment.
• Experience in ABAP Object Oriented Programming, ABAP Floor Plan Manager (FPM), ABAP Web Dynpro, ABAP Workflow, BRF+ Workflow.
• Experience in data model enhancement.
• Fair understanding on Data migration process of any master object like material, vendor etc.
• Experience in User interface modelling (Design and creation of UI, value restriction, data quality, validation, and derivation rules).
• Experience in process modelling (Entity, business activity, change request, rule-based workflow, BRF plus).
• Replication techniques, Data Replication Framework (DRF), SOAP service, ALE/IDoc, Key & value mapping, data transfer, export & import master data.
• Relevant functional, technical and leadership skills.
