QC Chemist
Responsibilities:
- Sample Testing: Conduct routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that construction chemical products meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements, such as ASTM, ISO, or other relevant standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results, procedures, and findings. Record if any deviations from quality standards and investigations when necessary.
- Instrument Calibration: Regularly calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate and precise measurements.
- Quality Control Procedures: Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to monitor the manufacturing process, identifying and rectifying issues promptly.
- Sampling and Inspection: Collect samples from different stages of the production process and perform visual inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards. Checking of RM/PM/FG as per QC specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that the laboratory is following safety regulations. Report and address any safety hazards or incidents.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, to resolve quality-related issues and provide technical support.
- Quality Reporting: Generate quality reports and communicate findings to senior, highlighting issues, deviations, and areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and overall product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
- Min 0-4 years of experience in quality control or analytical chemistry role, in construction chemicals Industry.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, instrumentation, and laboratory procedures.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and regulatory requirements relevant to construction chemicals.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments and convey quality-related information.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using computer software for data analysis and reporting.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control methodologies.
