Job Description

Responsibilities:

Monitor industry trends and share knowledge on markets

Structure, model, and interpret external market data to understand performance and decision-making
Set up dashboards as single source of truth to track company performance against market growth
Maintain and expand market models in excel and interpret future market trends to steer where to play
Transform data through reports and dashboards into actionable insights for the business

Track competitors, and market conditions to identify opportunities and risks for businesses

Own, maintain and upgrade company tool used for news monitoring
Creating detailed reports and presentations covering competitor activity and performance for benchmarking
Update asset mapping to further develop understanding of the competitive landscape, their key strengths and weaknesses
Keep track of large industrial projects developments to identify business white spaces opportunities by products/service and geography

Support strategy execution in building out business adjacencies

Provide analytical support to help decision makers assess the strengths and risks in a given adjacency opportunity. (e.g. MA, strategic capex)
Transform data and information into insights that inform high-level strategy and tactical decision-making in support of revenue and profitability objectives
Scan the market and prepare high level gameboard for potential acquisition targets in line with business strategy, if required

Support business with market and commercial analytics using BI

Maintenance of the BI to allow easy Slice Dice extracts and facilitate ad hoc analyses (e.g. customer attractiveness, profit pools, sales ROI etc.)
Contribute to development of internal tools and platforms (BI, CRM )
Build dashboards to track commercial KPI s and performance

Drive data-driven decision making through community engagement

Set-up regular touchpoints to share the latest market growth, competition activity and ongoing progress
Organize regional key contacts and antennas to keep feeding relevant data
Animate this dedicated regional team to ensure a sound use of available data and resources

Education, background, level of experience

Qualifications:

The core requirements of the role will typically encompass a combination of advanced technical skills, extensive experience with data analysis methodologies, and the ability to translate data insights into business value

Proven track record in implementing analytics solutions and building dashboards
3 to 7 years of Experience in creating data models that accurately represent complex business scenarios and support decision-making
Bachelor s degree in one of the following areas: Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Economics, Engineering or Statistics.
A solid grasp of business operations, strategy, and the ability to understand and align with the organizations goals
Expert communication skills and ability to influence leadership
Strong teamwork skills: ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, finance, and operations
Project management skills plan, organizes, motivates, and controls resources to achieve specified project goals and objectives while respecting defined constraints.

Core Competencies (Job Related):

Highly data driven, methodical, process oriented, and with high standards of rigour discipline for data quality
Ability to synthesize and articulate effectively
Tech loving, at ease with array of apps and tools and systems
Knowledge of high temperature industries (desirable)
At ease with Excel (Power Query), Power BI, Powerpoint, Google Suite is a plus (other analytical/visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau will be a plus)
Be a champion for a data insights culture, supporting and train the organization in data systems and reporting
Knowledge of Salesforce, Intelligence2day are a plus
