Overseeing communications with the media, including preparing, editing, and proofreading articles, press kits, press releases, website postings, and other content.
Develops, pitches and places positive stories by and about the client in appropriate business, trade and consumer media.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, influencers and media professionals.
Strong written and verbal communication skill.
Oversees press events and takes part in media trainings, including drafting scenarios, and handle complex media inquiries.
Addressing crisis situations promptly and directly, correcting misinformation, etc.
Networking and coordination with media and influencers for interviews, articles, and relevant forums.
Create and maintain an active press calendar, media database & journalize profiles.
Provide regular media coverage reports to internal stakeholders.
Implementing analytical strategies to identify potential for improvement of media relations and creating reports on media communications activities and results with actionable suggestions for improvement.
Establish relationships with stakeholders & collaborate with various departments like Finance, HR, Marketing, Compliance etc.
Requirements: Educational Qualification: Graduate or Postgraduate in any stream or professional qualification in the field of public relations or marketing communication.
Experience : 4+ years of work experience of handling media relations in a PR agency and has a significant network of connections with media outlets, reporters, etc.
