Senior OT Technician

Job Description:

Buddha Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled OT (Operating Theatre) Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an OT Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating theaters, supporting surgical teams, and contributing to the overall patient care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing the operating room for surgeries by setting up surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and ready for use.
• Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure.
• Monitor and anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during surgeries.
• Handle specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Clean and restock the operating room after each procedure.
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Document and maintain accurate records related to surgical procedures and equipment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an OT Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting.
• Certification or diploma from an accredited program for OT Technicians.
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications related to surgical technology or patient care.
• Experience with a variety of surgical specialties.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
