Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Regression Testing (2-6 yrs)

Job Description :

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Test Design & Execution : Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases based on software requirements for Mobile and Web Applications, including functional and non-functional testing.

- Regression Testing : Perform regression testing and prioritize test cases based on software changes and releases.

- Customer-Focused Testing : Analyze customer deployments and derive customer-focused testing, including usability testing, deployment use cases, and data mining of customer-reported defects.

- Defect Tracking : Track defects throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring all defects are resolved, and reporting issues to the development team.

- Collaboration : Actively participate in Design Reviews, with a focus on system architecture, to ensure quality assurance considerations are integrated into the early design phases.

- Automation : Utilize automation tools such as Selenium, Python, or similar scripting tools to automate repetitive testing tasks and improve efficiency.

- Customer Support & Escalations : Handle customer support/escalations, ensuring that defects are addressed quickly and professionally.

- Training : Provide product usage training to customers and internal teams, ensuring effective use of the product and tools.

- Continuous Improvement : Identify and propose opportunities to enhance testing processes, improve work efficiency, and ensure higher product quality.

- Effective Communication : Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including providing detailed testing reports and defect analysis.

- Professionalism : Demonstrate high levels of self-driven accountability and professionalism, handling work pressure situations gracefully.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Mobile & Web Application Testing Expertise : Strong experience in Mobile Application and Web Application testing.

- Testing Experience : In-depth experience with system testing, regression testing, and test prioritization.

- Use Case & Test Case Design : Ability to derive use cases and design effective test cases based on software requirements.

- Customer-Focused Testing : Experience understanding customer deployments, analyzing feedback, and providing customer-centric testing.

- Collaboration & Design Reviews : Experience in participating in design reviews, focusing on system architecture and quality assurance.

- Defect Tracking & Reporting : Proficient in defect tracking, reporting, and maintaining an end-to-end defect lifecycle.

- Automation Experience : Experience with automation tools (e. , Selenium, Python) to automate repetitive tests and enhance testing efficiency.

- Customer Support : Ability to handle customer support and escalations in a professional and efficient manner.

- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with stakeholders and document test results.

- Team Collaboration : Ability to work effectively as a team player and contribute to collaborative work environments.

- Problem-Solving Skills : Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and technical issue resolution skills.

- Accountability & Work Ethics : High level of professionalism, accountability, and commitment to delivering quality products on time.

Preferred Skills :

- Scripting Languages : Experience in scripting for automation in tools such as Selenium or Python.
